Our Andover Workshop

Our Andover Workshop

Our small workshop at Andover in Hampshire is responsible for sewing together our shirts, whether bespoke, made to measure or ready to wear. All of our bespoke orders for pyjamasnightshirts and boxer shorts are also produced here. The Andover workshop was established 45 years ago and was originally part of Webster Brothers, relocating from the company’s London premises in 1965. As with Budd’s London site, experience and knowledge is key, and our Andover team have this in abundance! Our Andover cutter has spent over 50 years in shirt making, beginning his career at another well-known Jermyn Street shirtmaker before spending the last 40 years working for Budd. His service with the company is closely followed by that of our workshop manager Di, who has worked for Budd for 33 years and Gwen, who has served 31 years with the company. The remainder of the team’s experience is inspired and reassuring. They thrive on a challenge and regularly impress with their knowledge, dexterity and wit!
