A good pair of gloves is a real treat and once you have gone down the route of a fine suede or leather pair, compromising for anything less feels like a sacrifice. Sometimes it is the absence of the little things that make us feel most deprived!

Hand stitching gloves

Over the last few months, Budd has shaken hands with well-loved, Italian glove maker, Merola. A family run business, the Rome based firm has been hand stitching its gloves from its workshop in Naples for four generations. Today the company produces just 30,000 pairs of hand-made gloves each year, distributing them to a limited number of retailers worldwide.
