For the next instalment of our 'Meet The Maker' series on our Off The Cuff blog we took a trip to Bodiam, East Sussex. In the beautiful Sussex countryside you'll find Robert Keyte Silks Ltd, nestled within a courtyard of farm buildings.

Mr Robert Keyte, with over 30 years of experience in the silk and textile industry, founded Robert Keyte Silks in 1999. Boasting archives dating nearly 100 years old and a collection of meticulously labelled silks it is a place of wonder for the silk lover and connoisseur.

We are proud to support British craftsmanship and with suppliers such as Robert Keyte Silks we can continue to bring you quality British goods.

The talented workers at Robert Keyte craft ties, bow ties, ascots, cravats, handkerchiefs, scarves and pretty much anything else they can try their hand at.

Other than the help of some modern gadgets here and there at certain stages of the production all of the accessories are cut and made by hand.

We were lucky enough to witness the hand slipping of a silk tie during our visit too.

As well as seeing one of our Burgundy and White Spot 36oz Scarves being hand tassled and finished.

During our visit we selected some beautiful Madder silks for dressing gowns that will be available to buy in the near future, so stay tuned for their arrival.
