In Loving Memory of Colin Baker
Colin Baker left school in 1961 at the age of 15 to begin an apprenticeship at Coles in Knightsbridge, under the instruction of Mick Barnett and Lois Campbell. After 19 years at Coles, Colin moved to Basingstoke in 1981, where he worked at Turnbull & Asser for around 11 years.
Colin then moved on to own his own business where he also made gowns for the silk mill as well as doing out work for Webster Brothers (Budd).
This is how we all came to know Colin, who became a work colleague but most of all a friend.
