It is cut from foulard printed silk and made for Budd in South London by a specialist bow making company. It is a self-tied bow, size adjustable and is worn during the day with a suit or at weekends with a jacket - a sartorial statement.
The neat medallion design of this thistle bow combines formal elegance with flair and individuality. Madder is silk for the connoisseur. It is produced by a complex dying process that originated in India 200 years ago, dipping the silk into vats of indigo dye to produce that special look and feel. The navy colour palette makes it very adaptable so as it can be worn with plain city suits and shirts or with weekend jackets.
