Work For Us

We are always on the look out for passionate and talented individuals to join our team who share our love of English make and craftsmanship.

Part Time Sales Assistant - London.

Budd was established in 1910 and is a totally authentic English retailer of luxury men’s shirts which are still made in its Andover workshop. At its core it is a bespoke shirt maker with three of its shirt cutters working above its Piccadilly store. For those who know, Budd is a brand that stands shoulder to shoulder with Charvet of Paris or Turnbull & Asser here in the UK.

We are looking to add a passionate part time sales person to our team who would be based in our Piccadilly store. Our key criteria are enthusiasm, integrity, good taste and personality. It is a small team so the ideal candidate would work with all seven of our London based staff (cutters, shop staff, marketing and accounts). We need a new team member to work two to three days a week (but particularly Saturday).

We can pay a very competitive starting salary of £9,400 to £14,100 (dependant on number of days agreed) or more if you already have relevant experience. The right candidate would enjoy being part of a very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and supportive team. We are totally open as to experience level because we have people who can impart significant accumulated knowledge via on the job training, all we ask for is the desire to learn. In time this role could likely become a full time position.

 We are not a fashion brand; we are a traditional bespoke English shirt maker and luxury goods company that believes in quality and knowledgeable, courteous service. We know that we make the very best shirts (because we have the most experienced shirt cutters in the UK and our Andover team includes seamstresses with nearly 50 years of experience). We also use the very best cloths from around the world. We always strive to do the upmost for our clients and take no short-cuts.

Role responsibilities include;

  • Learning all about shirts in particular as well as men’s haberdashery in general.
  • Developing an incomparable knowledge of dress wear etiquette.
  • Working closely within a small supportive team to ultimately help grow Budd’s sales.
  • Providing assistance to each function within the business where required.

The successful applicant will be;

  • Enthusiastic, energetic and keen to learn.
  • Confident interacting with clients and forming relationships.
  • Relevantly experienced, however tangential.
  • Excellently presented and well spoken.

Budd also offers a large discount to its staff. Visit our web site and look at the Instagram feed or come into the store and if you like what you see please send a cover letter and CV to Charlotte.Sydes@buddshirts.co.uk
