These white moiré silk braces are made for Budd in England by the oldest manufacturer of braces in the world, Albert Thurston. The silk is imported from the last Italian mill which produces “real” moiré, as opposed to the flat, printed watered silk which comes via the east. “Real” watered silk produces a “living” moiré effect which ripples subtly as it reacts to light during movement. The braces have a traditional button fitting with leather ends. The length of each strap is altered by elegant, narrow adjusters. They are perfect for the formal elegance of a white tie occasion.
